Cosmetix is a South African registered company which manufactures, imports, exports and distributes various cosmetic products. The company supplies some of South Africa's largest retail chain stores and beauty salons.

Cosmetix was founded in 2003, after it successfully launched Caribbean Tan in South Africa. Caribbean Tan was the first brand to introduce professional or salon based "spray on tanning" to the South African market.

It successfully marketed the concept, which has today become common place and is considered to be the most recognised and leading brand in the manufacture of self tan products. The product is sold through Clicks, Dischem, selected pharmacies and beauty salons.

Caribbean Tan is a proudly South African product, manufactured locally but exports to countries accross the world. The company is continually seeking opportunities to expand its international distribution.

Cosmetix represents a number of leading international brands in South Africa, including Essence - Germany's biggest selling makeup range. Essence was launched by Cosmetix in South Africa in April 2009, with unprecedented success.
